About Henry Effon

Henry Tettey Effon is originally from Ghana in West Africa, and moved to Canada for new opportunities and beginnings in life. He attended Catholic schools all through his primary and secondary education in Accra, the capital of Ghana, prior to moving to Canada.

He and his wife, Carrie, reside in Wetaskiwin along with their three children Tiana, Zahara, and Isaiah. They are members of Sacred Heart Parish in Wetaskiwin. Henry is passionate about volunteering at his church and community programs.

Henry is a graduate of Grant MacEwan University, a Registered Social Worker, and an elected Board Trustee with St. Thomas Aquinas School Division. When he is not working as a Social Worker or governing as a Board Trustee, Henry can be found helping others, coaching soccer, or spending time with his family and friends.
