Our Immigration and Settlement Service ministry hosted Director General Stephanie Kirkland of the new Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Settlement Network at our Reception House on Tuesday, February 9. This visit was part of the Director General’s cross-Canada Settlement Network office tour of all IRCC partners.

During her visit, Kirkland was greeted by our CEO Stephen Carattini and had the opportunity to tour our Reception House facility. Our Immigration and Settlement Service team also had the chance to give Kirkland a true “Government-Assisted Refugee” experience, in which  she met with our Settlement Counsellors and a Refugee Assisted Program Counsellor for an in depth orientation and exercise of our Newcomer Settlement process and Needs assessment.

The Director General’s tour continues on to Red Deer and Calgary later this week.
