Catholic Social Services (CSS) announces that Dr. Troy Davies has informed the Board of Directors of his decision to step down as Chief Executive Officer at the end of July 2027. He has accepted an appointment as Associate Professor & Chair of Catholic Education and Theology at Newman Theological College, a role that draws upon his academic expertise and more than two decades of experience as a Catholic teacher, principal, and superintendent. Providing a year's notice allows the Board the opportunity to undertake a thoughtful and comprehensive executive recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and well-supported leadership transition. With numerous important initiatives currently underway – including the launch of new service programs, expansion into Saskatchewan, and several key infrastructure projects – the Board looks forward to continuing to work closely with Troy in the year ahead and congratulates him on this exciting new chapter as he prepares to join Newman Theological College in the summer of 2027.
