Uplift: Day of Mercy 2018

Uplift: Day of Mercy is returning for its third year at St. Alphonsus Parish and Eastwood Community League.

More than 100 staff and volunteers will be supporting this year’s event, which invites all residents in the surrounding communities to come together for a shared meal and to enjoy some family-friendly entertainment and services.

Some free services include warm winter clothing, new socks and underwear, haircuts, and bicycle repair. Catholic Social Services staff will also be on-site to share information about the services we offer, such as settlement support for newcomers to Canada, and counselling.

If you are interested in supporting this uplifting event, you can do so by: volunteering; by donating new or gently-used winter coats, or new underwear and socks; or by sponsoring the event financially.

For all related inquiries, please call Volunteer Services at 780-432-1137 or email volunteer@cssalberta.ca.

Coats, new underwear, and new socks can be dropped off until Wednesday, September 19th at our Edmonton administrative offices, as well as our Mercy Counselling and Gianna Centre location (8815 - 99 St., Edmonton).

Everyone who is in need is welcome to attend Uplift: Day of Mercy.

Date: Saturday, September 22, 2018.

Time: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Location:  11828 - 85 St., Edmonton (see map)
